Our bags are used for household, inert & garden waste. Listed below are a number of common waste streams that are not accepted in our bags.

Yes, you can put soil in our SKIP BAG. It can actually be level filled with heavy waste weighing up to 1 tonne.

No. Liquid waste (such as paint & oil) is classified as hazardous and cannot be placed in a SKIP BAG for collection.

Yes, you can put glass in a Skip Bag but sharp bits need to be wrapped to avoid piercing the Skip Bag or endangering bag collectors.

No, we are unable to take food waste in our Skip Bags as it’s not accepted by the waste transfer stations we use. It would also contaminate other materials we recycle such as cardboard.

Yes, if you have old clothes that are no longer useable or suitable to be passed onto someone else you can put them in a Skip Bag.

It’s worth remembering that clothes can be donated or sold for re-use to stop waste.

Skip Bags are considerably cheaper than skip hire. Our skip bag prices are based on location, but prices start from just €99. This includes delivery of the bag and collection within 6 months. For a more accurate price please use our online platform. Just add your address and waste type to receive an accurate quote.

Filling a Skip Bag is easy – simply cuff it for stability then fill evenly. Be careful not to overfill as this could affect your collection.

1. Unfold and open out the Skip Bag and position within 4m of the road. 
2. Fold the sides of the bag out and down, like a cuff, to create rigid sides. 
3. Fill the bag, placing heavy materials at the bottom of the bag, with lighter waste on top.
4. Bring the sides of the bag up as you fill, ensuring that the lifting straps remain clear so it can be picked up when you need it collecting. 

If you plan to place your Skip Bag on any public land including roads, grass verges & pavements you will more than likely need to to have permission from your local council in the form of a skip permit.

You will not need a skip permit if you plan to keep your Skip Bag entirely on private property, E.G your garden or driveway.

Our registered suppliers have a range of vehicles suitable for your skip bag collection. These include Sprinter vans, caged van, skip trucks and hiab. The appropriate collection vehicle for your waste type and weight will be sent. Please be aware of this when choosing your waste type and filling your skip bag.

When booking a skip bag, please ensure that the collection vehicle has somewhere safe to park that is within a reasonable distance to where the waste will be loaded from. Preferably no more than 4 meters from the pavement. Our collection drivers can park on the road without a permit, providing it will not block access, and there are no double yellow lines or parking charges to do so. 

In order for our driver to load your waste safely, please ensure there is clear access with no obstacles between the location of the waste and the vehicle. If our drivers are unable to collect the bag it may result in a wasted journey charge.

Unfortunately, we are unable to dispose of Plasterboards through any of our service offerings.

Although the components of gas bottles & cylinders are highly recyclable, the hazards associated with them prevent them from being able to be safely disposed of via our suppliers. This waste must be disposed of by a hazardous waste specialist.

Asbestos is classed as hazardous waste due to the risk associated to asbestos, it requires specialist handling and disposal. If you want to dispose of asbestos please seek guidance from a local specialist.

Batteries are classed as Hazardous Waste. The type and quantity of battery that you wish to dispose of will dictate the necessary handling and disposal process, please obtain further guidance.

Clinical waste is always deemed hazardous due to the nature of what it contains. Clinical waste includes any waste associated with human/animal health or waste from laboratories.

Waste that is considered hazardous under environmental legislation containing substances potentially harmful to health are also prohibited from your skip. There is a variety of options available locally depending on the type of wastes you wish to dispose of.

Should your waste item/s have a crossed out wheelie bin symbol, or in simple terms requires electricity to operate, please take to your household recycling centre and if you’re a business or other user (such as a school or hospital), please contact a specialist disposal company in the area.

Food waste requires separate collection & treatment to prevent it from contaminating other, recyclable wastes. For this reason, we are unable to collect food or food contaminated packaging.

Most suppliers will accept 1x roll/room of carpet. If there are additional quantities of this waste type we must check with the supplier before booking. Additional charges may apply.
